This qualification is informed by employers and national and international standards for aesthetic beauty and developed by technical experts. It includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial aesthetic practitioner.
Compulsory units
- Principles, practice and ethics of advanced aesthetic therapies
- Investigative consultation for advanced aesthetic therapies
- Skin science for advanced aesthetic therapies
Optional units (Set 1) - Beauty Therapist Route
- Provide skin peeling treatments
- Provide skin needling treatments
- Provide radio frequency treatments
Optional units (Set 2) - Laser Technician Route
- Perform hair growth reduction using laser systems
- Perform skin rejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light systems
- Core of Knowledge for Laser and Light Device

Entry requirements
The learner is required to hold a regulated qualification in level 2 and 3 beauty therapy or equivalent.
